I am finally getting enough mobility and strength in my shoulders to be able to raise my hands up behind my head.
Using the Revitive circulation booster purchased from Shoppers Home Health Care. This device uses electrical stimulation to excite the muscles in toes, feet and lower legs, and thus improve circulation. It’s not just for old people! It also helps move my muscles: in the video you can see my heels and forefoot moving up and down slightly, as well as some of my toes.
I said goodbye today to Gillian, a medical student who has volunteered every weekend since October to help me progress in the gym. Thank you Gillian!
Riding the hand cycle at the University this week. I’ve gone from paragliding to Paralympian! 🙂
Riding the Nu step seated stepping machine last week. 2 months ago, I could only step for 2 minutes at a time, but now I can ride independently for a full 20 minutes. Recently, I started moving from power level zero to power level 1 during the session. In addition to strengthening my arms, this machine also helps me try to strengthen my core as I try to remain sitting up while pushing with my arms.
