Using the nustep seated trainer in a different way: to exercise triceps, shoulder muscles, and pecs.
I have been doing intervals on the nu step seated step trainer that I ride 3 times a in the gym. Over the last month or so, I have gained strength so that I can go a full 20 minutes at power level 0. So now I am doing intervals to higher power levels. For example I do a staircase up to power level 4 and then back to power level 0. Then, during the last 2 minutes of my session, I have been increasing up to power level 6. In my last session, I went all the way to power level 7. True, only for 15 seconds at that level, but I am pleased to be able to move the arm pedals even for a short while at that level. Also, I have established a new base level of power level 1.
